I woke up, looked at my phone. And there was a blank text pulled up. Not from someone else. But as if I was about to type something to someone else. And all it said was “Just checking in, hope you’re doing okay”…. I never typed that. And neither did anyone else in this house.

Today won’t be a good day. I don’t want to see my great grandmother in a casket. But I know it was her time. She was 97 years old. And my hero. She worked till she was 85, and didn’t even want to retire then, she was an amazing woman and she will truly be missed by a lot of people. RIP Nuchie <3 7/31/1914 - 1/29/2012
